A plum update!

Orchard Update

We’re in the sweetest stretch of the year - plums are ripening fast, and some varieties are nearly finished. Here’s what’s ready:

Excalibur - last few days

Golden flesh, honeyed sweetness, and a hint of tartness near the skin. Lovely fresh or in a crumble - just a few remain on the trees.

Reeves - Nearing the End of Their Season

Deep red skin, amber flesh, and a bold, berry-like flavor. Excellent for jam or enjoying straight from the tree while they last.

Jeffersons - Ready Now

Golden-skinned, mellow, and lightly perfumed. Firm flesh makes them great for tarts or pairing with cheese.

Cambridge - Ready Now

Dusky purple skin with ruby-red flesh. Sweet-tart, juicy, and versatile - enjoy fresh, in salads, or in chutneys.

Angelina Burdett - Ready Now

Dark purple-black skin and rich, sweet flesh with a subtle almond-like depth. A late-season favorite, now at its peak.
